Families and visitors can escape the seasonal commercialism by “doing the Loop for the holidays.” From Nov. 25-Dec. 31, the New Smyrna Beach (NSB) Waterfront Loop will offer nine hometown holiday events that offer caroling, carriage rides, a lighted boat parade, fireworks, dashing Santas, and bed and breakfast tours.
“Many people used to go to the mall for shopping or entertainment at this time of year,” said Tony Otte, CRA Director for the City of New Smyrna Beach. “But times are changing. Now many people are looking for affordable holiday outings for shopping and activities. That’s what the Loop is – a safe destination where families can enjoy themselves in a nostalgic setting.”
